We moved into our current office in August of 2015. The house turned in to office was built in 1928. Prior to Dr. Norton practicing at the location Dr. Joe Hodges DDS treated and loved on dental patients for over 20 years. The building has amazing character including stained glass windows, original hardwood floors, and wood finishings. Patients often comment on the beauty of the architecture. It truly has a welcome home feeling.
The second story of the building has just as much character. We are fortunate to have The Parlour on Hickory located on site. Angela has been a hairstylist for over 10 years.
COMING SOON: WE ARE EXCITED TO BRING THE BOUTIQUE ON HICKORY to the building. The boutique will be a gift shop and a place to obtain cancer accessories.

Kathryn Norton
I was raised here in Abilene and always wanted to stay here. My father cared for the patient's of this community since 1976 and it is my goal to carry on that tradition. I attended Schreiner College in Kerrville, TX and graduated with a degree in Biology. I then attended Texas Tech where I received my Doctor of Medicine. I completed my general surgery residency at LSUHSC in Shreveport, LA. I have been in practice in Abilene since 2004. I have continued my education, obtaining my MBA from Texas Tech in 2007. Most recently I have completed Genetics training through the City of Hope. While I enjoy and perform all sorts of surgeries, my passions lies in the treatment and care of the breast cancer patient.

Heather West
I moved to Abilene over 10 years ago. After graduating from Patty Hanks Shelton School of Nursing I knew that my passion was in the Operating Room. After working a short while as a circulating nurse I began assisting Norton. A year later I became her office nurse. I have had the pleasure of working with Norton for the last 5 years. I am so fortunate to love my career. Although removing gallbladders and placing mediports are my favorite surgeries I have fallen in love with caring for those with breast cancer. I have enjoyed gaining a certification in Breast Patient Navigation in Imaging and Cancer. Getting to know our patients and their families is the best part of my day!

Note from Joy: I had the pleasure of working for Peter K. Norton M.D. for 21 years. After his retirement I jumped at the chance to work for Kathryn. Being able to continue working for the same family has been amazing. When I am at work, I feel at home.
